Designed as a marketing project, I was tasked with creating a brand to perform a case study with. The case study was for “Limited Edition” products and how effective limiting production is for upping sales. As a project for the fall semester, what better way to capitalize on Limited Edition products than to go into the food and drink industry?
With the rise of the popularity of hard seltzer, we had decided to do an autumn twist and create the Apple Cinnamon flavor to keep things festive.
Our case study ultimately resulted in creating one ad with two variants: one that mentions limited edition and one that does not. The result? Limited edition attracted far more individuals and made the beverage more appealing to consumers. Here are the ads below.
These ads were designed in Photoshop and the can design was made in Illustrator, printed with a gloss overlay, and installed on real aluminum cans filled with seltzer.
